Growing
the Arts in Vancouver
We believe in cross-pollinating our patrons, which expands the opportunities
for all artists who are a part of our collaborative setting.
People
ask us if we are a theatre or a gallery? We are both! We say that with
this caveat.
Included in the "Art of the Theatre" is painting, sculpture,
music, dance and many more arts and artists.
We nurture individual artists and collaborate in live performance. Our
art exists as fine art in
exhibition, and on stage in time.

If you are an artist chosen to
show in our gallery you should know that approximately a thousand different
theatre patrons from the performing arts division of Arts Equity Inc. will
peruse your work every week as a result of our subscription seasons. Our
gallery is open Saturdays from 10am to 4pm to the general public and is
open by appointment to the serious collector.
We sell from
the artists evolving inventory both in private showings and online. As
an artist you can have us host a page or we can provide a link to your
own website. We exhibit in a group setting so that no one artist has to
carry the entire gallery at one time. We change and rehang the gallery
as pieces sell.
To submit work
to be included in the gallery, send us the following via email:
1. A full artistic
resume
2. A jpeg version of your work (1-3 images only)
3. Send to P.O. Box 1735, Vancouver, WA 98668
You should
hear from us within 4-6 weeks as to whether we want to request additional
information. Should we request a CD including new examples of your work,
we will contact you via email.

Our direct sales staff works to
connect "working artists" with "new patrons" and "established
collectors" wishing to expand their acquisition of fine arts properties.
We have found through our experience in the Pearl District of Portland that
although events like "1st Thursday" are a huge economic engine
for the businesses on the edges of the art gallery world, very little art
is actually sold. The business of art is not a walk-in retail trade. Once
again, by cross pollinating our patrons we can introduce, educate and generate
more serious patrons.
We employ a
direct marketing approach matching art work with discerning patrons. We
believe as Alfred Stieglitz did when he opened Gallery 291 in New York
City in 1905 -- that patrons must deserve the art. Art is something that
should not be purchased on a whim or to "fit over a green sofa!"
Patrons live everyday in the presence of the art they purchased. These
principles are a guiding force for Arts Equity Inc.
Our facility
is located in the "Heart of Vancouver" within walking distance
of six recent condominium developments and just a two block walk from
the new Vancouver Convention Center and Hilton Hotel. As a member of the
Vancouver Chamber of Commerce, we work to establish professional relationships
with the staffs of business entities who refer patrons to our facility.
Our gallery
is open Saturdays from 10am to 4pm to the general public and is open by
appointment to the serious collector.
